Austism After 18

Please join us as Fitz Sanchez, a 22-year-old college student with an autism diagnosis, shares the importance of gaining self-awareness, communication skills, and his experience navigating college in a new state away from his parents. Fitz will encourage participants to reframe from a deficit and disorder towards seeking abilities based on individual strengths.

About the presenter:

Diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS) at 3 years old, not speaking in full sentences until age 5, and with the support from his family, teachers, therapists and others, Fitz Sanchez now has an Associate degree and is a college student in Charlotte, North Carolina.
